Cooperative Education / Internship Student of
the Year
The Award

NJCEIA sponsors a
search for outstanding co-op/ internship
students each academic year. A cash award of
$150.00 will be presented to winners of
two-year and four-year degree institutions.

The award categories
are as follows: Technical 4-year,
Non-technical (business & liberal arts)
4-year; and Technical 2-year and
Non-technical 2-year.

We encourage all NJCEIA
members to nominate candidates. Students
enrolled at two-year and four-year
degree-granting institutions are eligible to
compete. Please note that more than one
student may be nominated by a college or
university.

We encourage
all NJCEIA members to notify their students and
co-op employers about the scholarship. Please
note that more than one student from each
institution can apply.
Eligibility is
limited to students who: were/are enrolled in
co-op/internship for at least one-semester
during the spring 2010, summer 2010, fall 2010
and spring 2011.
Criteria
for selection:
In order to
compete for the award, both the Student
Application Form and the Employer /Site Sponsor
Form must be submitted by the deadline date.
Nomination Instructions and Forms

Both
formats include the student and employer forms.
All completed sets of entries MUST be
received by the college's co-op/internship
representative prior to the April 15 deadline so
that they may be forwarded to the Awards
Committee Chair by April 15, 2011. Late or
incomplete entries will be disqualified.
The judging process will be completed in May
2011. Winners will be notified by mail and
invited to the June 9th NJCEIA meeting. All
nominators will receive an award announcement
letter upon completion of the judging.
